Honeycomb Investment Trust has listed on the Specialist Fund Market of the London Stock Exchange raising £100m. The trust’s investment manager is Pollen Street Capital, the former private equity business of the Royal Bank of Scotland, which is headed by Lindsey McMurray. Pollen Street describes itself as a private equity fund manager focussed on investing in businesses in the financial services sector and they say that they have invested over £1.2bn in a range of businesses across all stages of development. Honeycomb is Pollen Street’s first investment trust. It is aiming to invest in consumer and small business loans in specialist lending markets. The trust is to be chaired by Robert Sharpe, who was previously chief executive of the West Bromwich Building Society.
