QuotedData’s morning briefing 1 December 2020

In QuotedData’s morning briefing 1 December 2020:

  • Polar Capital Global Financials says that George Barrow has been appointed as joint fund manager of the trust, alongside Nick Brind and John Yakas. George joined Polar Capital in September 2010 and has over 10 years’ experience analysing Europe, Asia and emerging markets. Prior to joining Polar Capital, he was an analyst at HIM Capital from 2008 where he completed his IMC.
  • Derek Steeden has been appointed to run Invesco Perpetual Select’s managed liquidity portfolio. Based in London, Derek is a portfolio manager for the Invesco Investment Solutions team, which provides customised, multi-asset investment strategies for clients. He joined Invesco in 2019, having begun his investment career in 2005.
  • TOC Property Backed Lending, which suspended its second and third quarterly dividends, says it will pay a final balancing dividend payment in respect of its current financial year. This dividend is expected to be declared in the first quarter of 2021.
  • Odyssean is asking shareholders to approve the incorporation of an ESG assessment into its investment policy. [Organising a meeting to approve this feels a bit OTT but is a good way of drawing attention to it we suppose.]
  • Premier Miton Global Renewables highlights that, because its new zero dividend preference (ZDP) share class is smaller than the outgoing ZDPs, the gearing on the ordinary shares will be lower, the portfolio smaller and revenue earnings per share and dividend are expected to be lower. There’ll be an announcement on prospective dividend levels next year.

We also have news of a planned merger by two Invesco trusts, interim results from Custodian REIT and the purchases by Alternative Income REIT and Sirius Real Estate.
