Civitas Social Housing acquires £20m portfolio

In QuotedData’s morning briefing 27 April 2021:

  • Civitas (CSH) has completed the purchase of 15 supported care and living facilities in South Wales for £10.9m. The portfolio provides 51 beds and long-term support for individuals with learning disabilities and mental health care needs along with dedicated facilities to develop and enhance independent living skills, such as cooking, numeracy and literacy. The properties are subject to 25-year, CPI-linked leases with Auckland Home Solutions C.I.C. Funding came from the M&G debt facility.
  • Oak Hill Advisers, holders of 5.3% of Globalworth (GWI), say that they will not accept the €7 per share offer for the company. An independent committee of Globalworth’s directors say that the offer significantly undervalues the company.
  • Big Yellow (BYG) has acquired a prime 0.9-acre site on Regis Road in Kentish Town, North London for £16.5m. It intends to seek planning permission for a 68,000 sq ft self-storage centre on the site.
  • Henry Boot has planning permission for a new 2m sq ft distribution warehouse at Wakefield Hub, a 200-acre industrial and logistics scheme on the former Newmarket Colliery site located adjacent to Junction 30 of the M62 in Yorkshire.

We also have results from Dunedin Income Growth and Baillie Gifford China and updates from BMO Real Estate Investments and Target Healthcare REIT.
