QuotedData’s morning briefing 26 October 2021

In QuotedData’s morning briefing 26 October 2021:

  • Schroder BSC Social Impact (SBSI)’s first results, covering the period from launch to 30 June 2021, show an NAV return of 6.09%. There’s a first dividend of 0.57p per share. All of the IPO proceeds have been committed and, at 30 June, two-thirds had been deployed into 23 investments supporting over 100 front-line organisations across three broad sectors: high-impact housing, debt for social enterprises, and social outcomes contracts. The remaining commitments are expected to be called over the coming months with liquid ESG funds being used to avoid short-term cash drag to investors. Gains on investments in the period were driven primarily by strong performance in Bridges Evergreen Holdings. This fund comprised part of the seed portfolio purchased from Big Society Capital and benefited from the strong performance of earlier investments, in particular AgilityEco, tackling fuel poverty and New Reflexions, providing children’s services.
  • Markel CatCo has sweetened the terms of its buy out transaction. Holders of CatCo Reinsurance (CAT) ordinary shares will receive an accelerated return of approximately $0.30 per share (approximately $44.1m in total) while C shareholders (CATC) will receive an accelerated return of approximately $0.46 per share (approximately $38.5m in total).
  • Regional REIT (RGL) has updated on rent collection for the third quarter of 2021, stating it had received 87.5%, with 2.1% coming in monthly payments and a further 1.7% on agreed collection plans. For the first quarter it has now received 97.5% of rent (99.4% including collection plans) and for the second quarter 97.1% (99.0% with collection plans). Year to date it has collected 93.6% (96.2% with collection plans).

We also have results from JPMorgan Global Emerging Markets Income and VinaCapital Vietnam Opportunity. Plus an update from SDCL Energy Efficiency.
