If you missed the announcement that followed today’s quarterly panel show, here are the winners of our inaugural QuotedData’s Investors’ Choice Awards
Many thousands of you visited our dedicated Awards website. One lucky voter won the £5,000 prize for correctly predicting all the winners. A big thank you to our sponsors: Cazenove Capital and Stonehage Fleming.
There were awards in 12 categories. The first 10 were voted on by you:
- Best for long-term capital growth – winner HgCapital Trust
- Best for long-term income – winner Law Debenture
- Best for global exposure – winner JPMorgan Global Growth and Income
- Best for UK exposure – winner Rockwood Strategic
- Best for country/regional exposure – winner Ashoka India
- Best for specialist equity – winner Allianz Technology
- Best for alternative assets – winner 3i Infrastructure
- Best for property – winner TR Property
- Best large asset manager – winner JP Morgan Asset Management
- Best boutique – winner Asset Value Investors
Two other awards were determined by the panel of experts – Charles Armstrong (Cazenove Capital), Ben Conway (Hawksmoor), James de Bunsen (Janus Henderson), Eleana Watts (Stonehage Fleming), and James Burns (Evelyn Partners.
- Best board – this went to Pantheon International for the work that it has been doing to tackle its wide discount and educate investors about the merits of private equity
- Person of the year – this went to Robert Naylor, the chair of RoundHill Music who helped secure the best possible exit price for investors when that company was bid for, then was parachuted into Hipgnosis Songs Fund to turn that around, securing an attractive bid once again, and more recently parachuted in as chair of PRS REIT after shareholders fell out with the previous board.
The award recipients lined up to collect their trophies at an event held at the Royal Exchange.
