The fund managers of abrdn Asian Income Fund, The North American Income Trust and Shires Income are delighted to invite you to join them for an exciting panel discussion focussing on the topic ‘Three Income Ideas From Around the World’.There will be a number of questions put to the panel, which will focus on:
- The industries which they believe will offer the best prospects for income growth;
- How to distinguish if a high yielding stock is also a quality stock;
- Key investment themes for income stock picking and;
- How the investment trust structure benefits investors looking for equity income exposure.

Yoojeong Oh is an Investment Director on the Asian Equities Team at abrdn. Yoojeong joined the company in 2005 and was initially a member of the UK and European Equities Team in London before moving to Singapore. Yoojeong graduated with an MEng in Engineering, Economics and Management from the University of Oxford and is a CFA® charterholder.

Fran Radano is a Senior Investment Manager on the North American Equity Team. Fran joined the company in 2007 following the acquisition of Nationwide Financial Services’ equity investment management team, where he had served as a senior equity research analyst providing fundamental research coverage for the consumer discretionary and consumer staples sectors since 1999. Previously, Fran was a research analyst and vice president at Salomon Smith Barney. Prior to that, he was an associate trader at SEI Investments. Fran received a BA in Economics from Dickinson College, and has also earned a MBA in Finance from Villanova University. He is a CFA® Charterholder.

Iain has been an Investment Director in the UK & European equities team at abrdn since 2015. He is the lead manager of Shires Income PLC and is deputy manager of Murray Income Trust PLC and abrdn Equity Income Trust plc. Within his role, he manages the UK Equity High Income Fund amongst other funds and has sector responsibility for energy and banks. Iain has been covering analyst for the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Prior to joining the company, Iain was a Vice President on the number one ranked European Oil & Gas research team at Sanford Bernstein from 2007. He also worked as a management consultant at PwC. Iain holds an MSc in Operational Research, a Masters in Chemical Engineering, is a CFA charterholder and is a qualified accountant.
