  • BlackRock Throgmorton is asking shareholders for permission to issue more shares, having resold 5.5m of the 7m shares it was holding in Treasury.
  • Ioannis Papalekas, the CEO of Globalworth has sold his entire stake in the company for €244.6m. he also freed up another €39m by selling the company (Zakiono) that holds his shares. The buyer was CPI Property Group. whixh now holds 37,311,098 shares, equivalent to 16.8% of the company. The sale was for “personal reasons” and Mr Papalekas intends to stay on as CEO and as a director in the near-to-medium term.
  • Samuel Tak Lee managed to block three resolutions at Shaftesbury’s AGM related to issuing new shares and holding meetings on 14 days’ notice.
  • Tom O’Hara has been made co-manager of Henderson European Focus alongside John Bennett with immediate effect. Tom joined Janus Henderson in 2018. Before joining the firm, Tom was an equity research analyst with Exane BNP Paribas from 2016. He held positions with Redburn (Europe) Limited from 2013 and with Citigroup Global Markets from 2010.
