In QuotedData’s morning briefing 28 January 2022:
- Fondul Proprietatea (Ticker: FP.) has announced that the buyback programme that was approved by shareholders at the EGM on 5 December 2021 will start on 31 January 2022. The programme can repurchase up to 800m shares and lasts until 31 December 2022. All repurchased shares are to be cancelled. Fondul is permitted to buyback daily up to 25% of the average daily volume of its shares (whether in the form of ordinary shares or GDRs) and its AIFM will report on a weekly basis on the progress of the 2022 buyback programme. Fondul notes that its 12th buyback programme (approved at an EGM on 13 November 2020) was completed in full. This saw 194,371,754 shares and equivalent global depositary receipts repurchased, which represented 3% of Fondul’s total number of issued shares as at 31 December 2021.
- Yew Grove REIT (YEW) has received approval from the High Court for its scheme that will see it acquired by Slate Office Ireland Investment Limited, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Slate Office REIT. It is expected that trading of Yew Grove Shares on the Euronext Dublin Market and AIM will be suspended from 7:30 a.m. on 8 February 2022 and cancellation of trading of Yew Grove Shares on the Euronext Dublin Market and AIM will take effect from 7:00 a.m. on 9 February 2022.
- Montanaro European (MTE) has announced details of a general meeting, scheduled for 22 February 2022, at which it will ask shareholders to approve resolutions to allow it to issue up to 10% of its issued share capital, while dis-applying pre-emptive rights; make further buybacks as required; and hold a general meeting on 14 clear days’ notice.
