Baillie Gifford European Growth Trust 

aims to achieve capital growth over the long term from a diversified portfolio of European securities.

Stephen Paice is Head of the European Equity Team and a member of the Global Stewardship Portfolio Construction Group. He joined Baillie Gifford in 2005 and spent time in the US, UK Smaller Companies and Japanese Equities Teams. Stephen graduated BSc in Financial Mathematics in 2005.

Schroder UK Public Private Trust

investment objective is to achieve long-term capital growth through investing in a diversified portfolio with a focus on UK companies, both quoted and unquoted. As these companies evolve, the geographical profile of the portfolio may also change to become more global in nature for reasons such as an overseas listing or as the result of changes to the capital value of a non-UK company.

Tim Creed is the Head of Investments Europe. Tim is a member of Schroder Adveq’s Management Committee and a member of the Investment Committee. He is also on the advisory boards of several leading European buyout and turnaround fund managers. Prior to joining Schroder Adveq in 2004, Tim worked as a Project Manager at Aon in London, UK, having previously spent five years at Accenture in Strategy Consulting and Operations Consulting, where he worked mostly with financial services companies across Europe. Tim started his career as a Research Chemist at Astra Zeneca, also in the UK. From 2002 to 2007, Tim held a part time position as an Executive Public member of Network Rail in the UK. Tim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Edinburgh, where he graduated with first class honours and an MBA from Oxford University, UK, where he was the Clifford H. Barclay Scholar. In December 2019, Tim was selected as one of “50 Most Influential People in European Private Equity” by Financial News / Private Equity News.

BlackRock Throgmorton Trust 

aims to provide shareholders with long-term capital growth and an attractive total return by investing primarily in UK smaller companies and mid-capitalisation companies traded on the London Stock Exchange.

Dan Whitestone is Fund Manager of BlackRock’s Throgmorton Investment Trust. He is also the head of the UK Small/Mid-Cap Team in the Fundamental Equity division of BlackRock’s Active Equities Group with a research emphasis on the consumer industry. Dan is also the Portfolio Manager of BlackRock’s BlackRock UK Emerging Companies Hedge Fund, and the BSF UK Emerging Companies Absolute Return Fund. He is also responsible for researching the consumer sector. Dan’s service with the firm dates back to 2013. Prior to joining BlackRock, Dan worked for UBS, where he was the head of the UK small and mid-cap sales desk and ranked the number one salesperson in the Extel Small/Mid-Cap sales ratings in 2011 and 2012. Prior to working at UBS, Dan joined Noble and Co in 2006 as a UK small and mid-cap salesman. He began his career at Accenture, in 2003 as a strategy consultant. Dan earned a BA Hons degree in Combined Studies from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.

Oakley Capital Investments 

provides its shareholders with access to a portfolio of high quality private equity investments through its investments in the Oakley Capital Private Equity funds.

Steven Tredget joined Oakley Capital in 2017 and has more than 18 years of investment banking experience. Steven’s focus is fund raising, communications and investor relations for Oakley and its portfolio companies. Prior to joining Oakley, Steven was a founding partner of investment bank Liberum Capital. Over 9 years he raised equity capital for hundreds of companies and advised on public market listings. He began his career in 1997 at Collins Stewart, where he held equity research and sales roles. Steven holds a BSc (Hons) in Banking and Finance from Loughborough University.
