Overview
JPMorgan China Growth and Income (formerly JPMorgan Chinese Investment Trust : JMC) invests in Chinese companies listed on domestic exchanges and companies in Greater China by focusing on the growth of “New China” – companies and sectors that are capitalising on the transition of the country to a more consumer-driven economy.
The company aims to provide long term capital growth by investment in companies which are quoted on the stock exchanges of Hong Kong, China and Taiwan or which derive a substantial part of their revenues or profits from these territories. The company has the ability to use borrowing to gear the portfolio within the range of 10% net cash to 20% geared in normal market conditions.
In 2020, the decision to distribute 4% of its NAV each year as a dividend prompted the name change.
